I think there is a world wide spiritual awakening of some sort going on. I think we are moving from a long period of materialism to a new spiritual age. It's a common feature of societal evolution, according to some historians. Recent scientific breakthroughs, quantum mechanics, relativity and chaos theory all point to this.
