Hi. I'm from California. Its a good, relaxed atmosphere when it comes to marijuana. Right now people have pretty well learned most stoners mean no harm. But really pot has been " decriminalized" in California for 20 years i.e. No jail time for under an oz, so there is definitely an acceptance for it. If you have a Drs. prescription, you can pretty much smoke pot anywhere, but I've been smoking 20 years in California with out a prescription and I have never once been harassed by cops. They just dont care any more.
Once in a while you will see someone getting in trouble for marijuana possession but it is very rare. They have their hands and jails full with the meth heads. If you have a prescription you can literally grow pot in your front yard. The cops dont care. That prescription protects you a lot but you wont get arrested without one.
I didn't realize how well we had it here in California until I started reading posts on this board from other states. Boy, some of those guys have it rough! Seriously! California rocks!
