I heard that same sound about 2-3 months ago when I was in the shower... Came out to find that my fold up camping chair had fallen out of the closet and hit my sherlock onto my weights... that pipe was 7 years old, and it's the only pipe I've ever broken.

Dude, that sucks. It's always a sad thing, when you have so many good times, thanks to it. For some reason you always build up a kind of spiritual (well okay, materialistic) connection to all nice pieces. I hope I never break my pipe... I love it. Soon I'm gonna see if I can get a real nice artsy steamroller. But I don't think I'll ever retire my first pipe... unless it gets broken. I always keep good care of it.

But maby it can be resurected... Clean it up really good and go to a local glasblower and just ask if he can save your bong... usaly they will help you out and its not that expensive.
