DUI for being high (Florida)?

Is it possible to get a DUI for being pulled over high? I mean a light high is easy to hide but I'm worried about driving completely stoned when it's kind of obvious lol. I think most people think it's OK to be high if you have no paraphernalia or bud on you..?

Hmm, I think the question is a matter of opinion. I would say if you're sure you can handle it, yea. I've noticed more attention spent to detail and more carefull driving. But sometimes this includes driving 20 mph under the limit and stopping at green lights... I wouldn't worry about it. My friends and I smoked and drive daily and the only issue we've ever had is getting paranoid when we see a cop. Just relax :jointsmile:

I have no idea, I mean, it's not illegal to be high, but driving is a whole different story. I'd have to say to check your state laws. I'm pretty sure they could because we all know cops hate us and would do anything to piss us off.

I'm not worried about being pulled over high for speeding, driving bad, etc. I mean I just happen to be driving high and my tag light is out or something and I get pulled over for something meaningless.

They will pull you over for a broken tag light.

Yes I know these things and don't care about being pulled over for them, I'm just worried about being caught high while I'm on the road. lol

I don't know, every cop is different. I've never heard of being fined for being high.

I don't know how every state does it, but here in PA im pretty sure its possible to get a DUI because you are high. Its a pretty sketchy situation though and cops will probably only do it if they are assholes or they think you were serisously disabled enough to give it to you. Its hard to prove and its gotta be a lot of paper work....so as long as you don't drive like an idiot you should be fine

If the cop feels like being a dick, then i think they have it in their power to fine you or something, but usually they wont do anything. I think as long as they dont smell it, and u werent doing anything reckless u should be alright.

Around here anyways, i dunno about other places. Ive been pulled over completely blitzed a couple times before, and they didnt do anything.(damn stop signs)

Ive been pulled over high, he didnt care. It was for my license plate light.. Althought it was the scaryest thingever lol
