For me, watering so that the soil is dry within 3-4 days works best. It makes fine tuning and adapting to any problems easier and quicker. If you overfert for example, you can easily re-adjust the amount within only a few days. What I like even more is that it shocks me just how much ferts you can use in the latter stages of flowering. Right now I'm getting to administer large doses very frequently, but I can rapidly downsize if I notice any nute burns.
