why use hydro?
I love this question and I just thought of a new plus too after reading chrissy's thread.
Pros
Plants grow alot faster in hydro and generally seem to do better with bigger yields.
No dealing with soil
No watering issues. Too much? Too little? This one is HUGE to me.
Issues are seen and can be fixed early in hydro if careful watch is kept.
It's MUCH easier to change a res full of solution if there is a ph or nute problem than it is to flush the soil.
Cons.
Can be expensive depending on how many extras you want to throw into the mix
Hassle to check ph, nutes levesl etc...daily....this MUST be done....so it requires more energy I think
If there is a problem or issue it can down your grow very quickly as there is less room for error in feeding etc..
Need access to water nearby...both to get it and to dump it.
