    slow gowth normal with LST?

    quick question...

im on my third grow.. so far only been doing standard growing with my 2 first grows and have been wanting to experiment LST for my 3rd. so far so good... however, it seems to be taking an awfully long time to grow... i got 7plants under a 400 watt hps..16/8 they look healthy and are growing but just really slowly... i have transplanted them twice, now they are in 11 inch pots and topped 2 of them.

just wondering if its normal that they are taking so long.. maybe they need more time to adjust to the bending etc. anyhow any comments are appreciated. thanks

16/8 isn't very good for veg or flowering as it's right there in the middle. Most growers use at least 18/6 while a lot of us use the 20/4 day, and a few go with 24/0 too but I only use that for rooting clones under flouro's. So I suggest adding 4 more hours to your day ASAP.

Make them 18/6 if you really want them to take off. 18/6 maximizes the root seeking, aka bigger roots bigger plants.

Also if you water smaller plants at night (based upon their usual watering cycles, right before the 6 hours of darkness,) and pump some C02 into the area I find in the morning things get a little ridiculous in the mornings when I wake up.
