    bronchitis

I have gotten bronchitis recently and I am currently on "Sandoz Azithromycin" its a pill where in the first day you take two tablets then on day 2-5 you take 1 tablet a day. I am making a decision to not smoke joints anymore and now using my volcano vaporizer more because I am now beginning to believe that smoking joints CAN causes lung damage or respiratory problems. Because I am on this medication, do you feel its ok to still use the volcano vaporizer to enjoy the effects of cannabis?

PS: Get a volcano vaporizer. You won't be sorry that you spent the money on it

I'm sure it's fine, Mseerob, and a lot better than smoking it. That's an antibiotic for the infection you have (Sandoz is the name of the pharmaceutical company that manufactures the one you were prescribed), and it's unlikely that cannabis would interact negatively with an antibiotic. In some ways, it might even enhance its effects because the cannabinoids alone have nice anti-inflammatory effects and are even thought by some to have antibiotic properties.

It's true that smoking cannabis aggravates irritation and pulmonary congestion and can make people more prone to infections. Lots of folks don't believe that, but it does and that's been proven repeatedly in tests. It's not the THC or cannabinoids that causes problems. It's all the other crap in the smoke. Hope you feel better soon!

    Ahhhh bronchitis is FUN.
I've been hacking up all sorts of lil pulmonary presents for the last 2 weeks.
No antibiotics though. I'm kinda stubborn that way.
    Hope you feel better fast!!!

thanks birdgirl73 for the rapid reply *hugs*

Im a proud owner of the volcano vaporizer and from getting this stupid infection twice, I may just stop the use of joints, pipes and blunts for good. Do you feel that there are any benefits for asthma if you use the vaporizer as well?

Hey, Mseerob. Sorry, but I was at school all day and then we went out to dinner. So I'm only just now getting back online.

Some people get real good results with asthma and cannabis. The cannabinoids (not the entire smoke, just the cannabinoids like THC) can ease inflammation and help dilate the bronchial tubes. That's beneficial for asthma and emphysema in lots of people, and vaping is a cleaner way to get the essential components of the cannabis.

Weed smokers always take this information to mean the smoke itself does them good, which isn't the case with most people. It made my asthma worse, but that was again because of all the other crap in the smoke. If I'd had a vape, I'd have been eager to try it and see if it made asthma better. Let us know what you think!
