    outdoor grow soil

hello all i am planning on growing outdoors in 5 gal containers i want to bury them in the ground and i am wondering what soil i should use.

should i just use potting soil? or should i make a mix? could anyone tell me what they use that works for them. Water will not be easy to get there all the time so should i put something in to retain water? or make some sort of irrigation system? any help would be appreciated

also would it be bad to make a bag type thing around the bucket to hold in humidity or would this make mold grow and be pointless outdoors?

Uh? If your going to go through the trouble of digging a hole big enough to burry 5 gal buckets, why not amend the soil good and plant directly in the ground?

How would you know the theives are comming before they come and steal it?

Try to find a better spot that is unlikely to be disturbed. If you think there is even a reasonable liklyhood that someone will stumble accross it, then it's a bad spot to begin with. Also, it's best to spread out your efforts between several small spots and not one main one.
