Lol its weird you ask cause just like yesterday or so I was smoking a jay to myself of some shake, but some very leafy shake (the small sugar-coated). I can tell ya mate, I was so high I though I would pass out. then again the buds were incredible so no wonder ehh

Depends on the leaves.
Small 'bud leaves' or trim has plenty of resin on it. Most growers save it to make hash, because the resin isn't concentrated enough to bother smoking as just trim, but given enough trim, you can get plenty of hash.
Fan leaves, not so much.

When ya harvest you can trim off the ends of the bud leaf that has no visable trichomes with a magnifier. The remainder is better smoke than some of the swag you'll find on the streets.....IF you did your grow right.

As for the fans..............scrap! Pretty to look at and that's about it.
