butane extraction

ok so i tried this last night. the first time i dont think i did it right. the butane just shot through the tube and pooled up clear. i let it dry and there was nothing there. nothing to scrape up. so i packed the same weed alot tighter and tried it again. same result (probably screwed the weed the first time). after that didnt work i decided to not let the weed go to a complete waste and smoked it (a little under two bowls). after smoking all of it i got a SMALL buzz, so most of the THC went somewhere...just dont know where. any ideas?

with just a bit of weed it doesn't just like pour off leaving some huge pile... maybe about enough to coat a paper with...

I agree...I tried this with a bowl or two of high quality ganja and all I got was a thin sticky substance...couldn't even collect the stuff so I just smoked the weed

one more thing how come i cant just let it keep running the clear liquid out and mabye get mroe oil??

because once its running clear that means no more THC is being extracted.....when its clear its only butane thats coming out

it is nessicary to have atleast one click pen (you can do it with two tho) the tip of non-clicks is too big for the butane (i'm sure you could do it with some tape or soemthign tho, but this is the easiest...)

ok step by step as in the picutures....

(everythign is in bic brand, substitute as nessicary, i won't explain again, inginuiety can be used as nessicary... utimately you need a chamber to house th eweed, a tip for the fuel/oil to come out of, and a tip able to fit an airtight seal around the butane tip, and also depress the tip so it squirts butane out)

big pen (fixed from now on, refered to as BPF) and bic pen retractable (from now on refered to as BPR)

(REMEMBER, KEEP PERFECT SAFE CONDITIONS, IF YOU CAN'T CONTROL 'OUTSIDE CONDITIONS' DON'T FUCKING DO IT.. .YOU'RE RELEASING A GREAT QUANTITY OF A FLAMMABLE GAS ALL AROUND YOU... THE SLIGHTEST SPARK OR HEATING ELEMENT COULD SET IT OFF... BE SURE YOU'RE TAKING CAUTION, THIS ISN'T NO SHIT TO PLAY AROUND WITH OR SAY 'OH FUCK IT, I'LL BE OK'... NO FUCKING SMOKING, NO SPARKS, NO FLAMES... DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THE EASE, OR THE USUAL FLAMMABLE WARNING, THIS SHIT IS HIGHLY FLAMMABLE...)

1. put both infront of you, remove the tips from both.
2. on the BPF, remove that nub at the end opposite the writing end (a knife works well, put it right between the colored plastic of the end and the clear (or white) plastic of tube, press in a bit, put your thumb on the body and pry it out (or however works best for you.. you need an undistorted bic pen tube, the BPF offers the most room)
3. put a lighter to the end of the tip from the BPR for a few seconds, just enough to see a couple of flare ups, and make the plastic moldable (the less heat the better, you just need to be able to push it down on the tip of the butane can to form around that tip)
4. once it's hot and ready, push that end, slightly onto the BPR (it doesn't need to go in far, all tha tmatters, is there's a tight seal, and that it's able to catch and depress the nozzle, it takes like 1/16th of an inch or less... like the thickness of a blade... you DO NOT want the tip to press all the way through (where the writing tip used to come through when it was a pen)
5. put the non melted tip, in.
6. grind up the weed you plan to use, the finer the better... (literally, if you can get that shit like ground pepper, that's way better) slowly pack it in the pen, tightening that shit the best you can (there's alot of pressure in a butane can, don't worry what you would be able to hit, pack that shit in as TIGHT as you can, for this one instance, the tighter the better)
7. stop packing it when there's just enough room to stuff in the butane end-tip (probably a little farther then you think... you're gonna use that butane tip-end to pack that weed in harder, about a 1/8 inch at most, you're gonna wanna shove this shit together as hard as you can... remember, air-tight= good)
8. hold the non butane tip-end over a plate or bowl (very important it has a flat bottom, the flatter the better, the flatter it is, the less work it takes for you to get it out)
9. push the butane tip in and discharge the butane until you're 100% sure all you see coming out is 100% clear liquid (trust me, you'll be able to tell, don't question yourself, the mor ebutane you use the longer it takes, by like a minute... there is no over doing it...)
10. if using a plate, set it aside and let it evaporate naturally, shouldn't take but like 5-10 minutes AT MOST (if it even takes that long) if using a bowl, you can get a larger bowl and just put in like a half inch of luke warm-warm water, and set the bowl containing your product in that.. it'll greatly rapidize the evaporation process...

ohyeah, if you're like me, you can smoke this and it's perfectly safe (so long as you'r eusing safe butane) afterwards... it won't give you much really, throw that shit in your 'what if' stash, or w/e you call your stash shoudl you run out of bud and can't find any.. (where most chunk their schwagg)...

it CAN still get you high (bu tit's really weak... lol) but anyone wiht a relatively constant supply would be better off just throwing it away.. this is for the people like me, who see hte shit months inbetween... it WILL NOT offer nearly as much as you'd expect even shitty shcwagg, but in desperate momments, it's there...

oh the test for safe butane is as follows... get a mirror.. spray the shit on a mirror, set it aside... if everything evaporates and leaves no residue (of course it's important to start with a completely clean mirror) it's safe to use... if it leaves residue behind (you'll know, you ain't gotta ask) find a new one... ronson i swhat i've used so far.. most butanes are safe, the only reason for this warning, is cuz not ALL are safe..
