hi all, this is my first indoor grow and today I started 12/12 cycle with my CALIFORNIAN ORANGE BUD plants.
1-am I late for topping and if I top them now will I give them stress resulting in hermie plants?
2-Should I top them or this strain is not good with topping?
3-Heat can really change the sex of plants? How?

1: too late for topping, you should top the plant every 4-5 layers of leaves while in veg, and if you top it give the plant a two week recovery period before flowering

2: Most strains react well to topping, shouldnt be a problem with Cal O Bud....

3: If its too hot you'll get more males apparntly

Well topping them will increase your yield, by keeping them short and bushy.

Because your plants only been in 12/12 one day it should be fine to reveg, but be quick.

How old are your plants? they should be at least 6 weeks old before flowering if grown from seed.

Your plants can double in size during flowering so you should flower them when they half the height you want them too be at harvest.

So if your plants are like 4 weeks old then yes reveg and top once or twice, or attemp a FIM.

I think they are tall enough. some of them 45 cm ,some 30cm .I put my seeds in wet towel at the beggining of march. 21 of march I repotted them. now they are big enough I think.

I made many mistakes wile writing so fastly. Thanks again. For californian orange 8-10 weeks for flowering,is it right? if it is ,I had better not to reveg them.

Yeah i flowered my 8 plants when they were between 30 and 45cm.

Go have a look at my growlog, my females looking fantastic (only got one female outa 8 plants Think it was because of high temps)

The BDS Website says 9/10 weeks. Yeah i think they a great height for flowering :thumbsup: . Dont worry about topping or fimming.

You should take clones in veg, but you can take clones up to two weeks into flowering without a problem.

I bend them. when should I untie them. I am planing to bend them 2 weeks more in 12/12 cycle. Do u think is it gonna stress them or I should set hem free now.
