superthrive is supposed to be very helpful. I haven't used any yet.
A fan is also important to help keep the plants from developing mold also.

Cool, I am finding it hard to get hold of one to be honest as none of my family members have any and I am broke so cannot afford the £9.99 one in argos as I have invested my money in CFLs. I will ask some friends.

Also I have put together a checklist on what I am looking to purchase:

    • CFLs (should be on there way)
    • HPS (for flowering as my 125w will not be enough for 6 plants)
    • Superthrive
    • Fan
    • Hygrometer
    • More protective and solid growbox (built out of wood maybe)
    • Mylar (5m X 1m sheet on its way)
    • Clonex to clone my fems

**Also** FIMmed my plants today so hoping to receive good results when the CFLs come. Obviously didn't FIM Average Joe as he/she is too small

well the fan just simmulates the wind in nature and i guess its almost like a human muscle....the more light stress it gets the more tone it gets.....IDK...but a fan is a MUST. I know you maight be stressed on money but i made this into a grow box and it looks bad ass....im thinking of getting another one....one to use for veg and one for flower...

i would love to grow using LST but im using hydro and there is very little room in my box for something like that. plus my plant is so short and dense its crazy.... bending it would crunch all the leaves onto my bucket since they are so clumped together...hopefully this will just mean more bud sites without LST as it seems the use of topping and LST is to create dense plants....im using random seeds from a guy i smoked with once so i dont know what strain this is but its deffinatly indica..ill get some pics for you soon...keep up the good work..

Hey, don't lst anymore, until those stems are little stronger. Shouldn't be too long since you have a fan blowing on them now. Other ways to make sure you have strong stems: put your cfls as close to the plants as possible. That way your plant won't spend all it's energy and growth reaching for light. Don't overwater. This makes the whole plant be weak and not able to take in the proper nutrients to be strong...eventually would kill it.

you're doing a great job, keep up the good work!

Also, if you can get your hands on a little better fert with micro nutrients that would really be great (ive been using mg ap 24-8-16, use at 1/4 strength, then can go to higher concentration if plants respond well) for when the time comes. Also be thinking about ph, this will come into play more after you start feeding them! OOOPS< edit, I see you are already getting ready for that!
