Oh yea we talked about this in my PYSC class. It happens sometimes when you are awakened during REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep. Weird stuff. I had this happen as a child once but I haven't experienced it in a while.

I read some about sleep paralysis on the internet, and on wikipedia, they mostly say that its caused by the brain during REM sleep. I dont know if I agree with that though.
