    LowRyder2 ~ HPS & LED

For the standard reasons I wanted to try LowRyder2, since it has been reviewed as improved over the original. Also because I thought that a dwarf plant would be just the kind of pot plant that I needed for successful growth with the nature of LED grow lights being the way they are. It is now mid-course for these plants. The LED is about 5 weeks and the HPS is about 3.5 weeks. The HPS is a good standard growth of the plant and is well into starting buds. One female and one male, I thought that I'd try and get seeds. I've never had a seed crop before, so if anyone can offer constructuve comment, please do so by all means.

    LowRyder2 ~ HPS & LED

The plants in HPS are more mature than the two week older plant in LED. Because of the slow development of bud in LED, as a rash measure I'm switching the time to 12/12 and have introduced a halogen bulb (60w) for more spectrum. See if these steps will prod the plants system. Any comments are welcome, of course.:beatdeadhorse:
P.S. ~ Edit: Also added the UV-B lamp. (20w CFL.)

So LED lights suck? How many watts are you using for each of them? And why switch lowryder to 12/12?

Greetings Earthy Dank. The reason that I switched to 12/12 is that the LEDs are not sending the needed signals to the plant to initiate bud growth. The added spectra should prod the plant into activity, I hope. The LED kit that I have is only the two frequencies, of red & blue. New LED Growlights are with Full-Spectrum, which I suspect may involve flowering.
    Wattage is Red=10w, Blue=3w. The kit is 5-Reds, 2-Blues.
Oh and in high hope of success, also added is a UV-B lamp. Its a 20w CFL.
UV-B processes THC and helps trichome development.

lowryder 2 is still completely autoflowering correct? that means that switching it to 12/12 is going to do no more to induce flowering than will 24 hour cycles..

This plant has been raised unlike its predecessors. It has been grown with only two frequencies of light. Slightly un-natural, eh? Also the growth pattern is quite unlike the normally grown LR2, as I clearly illustrated with the two in HPS now maturing after having vegged in CFL. A typical appearing plant developed. Again the younger LR2 is more advanced sexually than the LED at the moment. So things are not the norm with the LED plant so far. Open mindedness may help.

If the boy & girl LR2 are next to each other maturing at the same time, will I get seeds?

you will get seeds, separate them; unless that's what you want?
