dxm turns out to be pcp on tests

i have read that you can get a false positive for pcp if you use dxm recreationally.
Does anyone know how long dxm stays in your system or pcp?

I know that both DXM and PCP are classified as dissociatives, but I think that's as far as their relation goes. I doubt that Dextromethorphan would come up as a false positive for PCP, because then anyone who took cough medicine in the past week would look like a drug addict. I'm not sure though...

Speculation, but I haven't found anything to suggest that it definately does. Just list that you've taken cough syrup in the past week for a cold, DXM isn't illegal:

thanks. I guess it will kinda be funny though when i tell them i took cough med. with dxm in it for a cold when they find enough of it in me too sedate a wilderbeast. lol.

actually when i took 10 nyquill with dxm in it i went to the hospital cuz i took other pills with the nyquill and od'd, and my drug test came up possitive with amphetamines, pcp (which i never took at any time) and thc...so the dxm had to of made pcp show up.

I got tested a while back and it showed postive for pcp. and i never took nething but dxm to get fucked up so it caused it.
