Planting germinated seeds while weather is cold?
My seeds have germinated and I want to plant them but it's pretty cold outside (50-60*). Should I keep them in my garage until it warms up with a fluorescent light on them? Or can I just leave them outside? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

When you say use a strong light, do you mean a hydro type light such as HPS or MH or do you mean a fluorescent fixture? Can you give me some more details? Thanks

Point is not to have them strech. You could put them in a window that gets 5-6 hours of direct sunlight and just rotate them 180 degrees every day or every other day.
I don't have much experience if any with artificial indoor plant lighting.:greenthumb:

What do you mean by stretch? Stretch for sunlight? What happens when they stretch?

When you say 50-60, is that the afternoon highs or the overnight lows? As long as the overnights stay above freezing they should survive, but they may not thrive. If that 50-60 is the afternoon highs, I would wait just a little bit longer until the highs are consistenty getting over 65 F. Obviously, if you already germed / popped them, then you need to plant them somewhere immidiately. A very sunny window will do if you have no other setup. Move em outside during the day when temps are over 65 for a few hrs at a time if you can.

It's in the upper 60s to mid 70s here right now. Above 50 at night. Sorry for the confusion.

streching makes them have taller/thinner stems and may be too weak to support the plant.
