The media plays one part but genetics and family are another. Some mothers are mean enough to say things like, "You might want to put down that donut." Sometimes being a little fatter or thinner plays in genetics and metabolism. Me, yeah, maybe I could lose a few pounds but I'm not going to starve myself over it. If you want to starve yourself that only means more donuts for me. The media does however support more curvy women, but it's so so. To me it doesn't matter, I like me and if you don't, well then too bad.

I'm really beginning to wonder if this obsession really does thrive because of the media pushing out anorexic models, and air brushed beauty's. Something else that occurred to me is that women don't become thin in an effort to attract more men any longer.
