picnic sounds cool,but all you have to do is make it her day(as mentioned before).run her a bath ,make her a fat joint.while she is relaxing cook a nice meal,then sit down to a movie and enjoy each other. and most of all tell her no matter what she is going through good or bad you will always be there for her. well that usually works for me.so good luck.!!
