A unecessary trend?

I've been noticing lately that some of the new users and even some seasoned veterans have been putting warnings as their avatar saying "All Posts I make are fictional" blah blah blah

Whats up with this? I remember getting flammed cause I did something similar back when I thought 5-0 was watching me from every nook and cranny. Did I miss something in my few months away from the boards?

If they typed up a whole coherent sentence and put it in there signature...not their avatar...then who does it hurt.. if cops came to bust me right now because i didnt put that sentence in then i would eat everything they could bust me with within two minutes.
