Hey for all you stoners who work in labor I have a question. My boss wants me to get my CDL class A and he is going to give me a $2 buck raise if I do. My question is do they drug test if you have your CDL and if they do how often? Also I have off in the winter months when i collect unemployment, will they drug test me also then when I am not working and I am collecting unemployment? I work asphalting and I am a grader if that info helps. If they do drug test when i work and in the winter when i am off I dont know that i want to get my CDL because obviously that means no more Mary Jane. I definitly dont want to have my last dance with her.

Yeah you get drug tested for the CDL (commercial drivers license right?). No drug test for unemployment though.

$2 frickin' bucks raise for an A? That's insulting, and consider all the scrutney you'd go through. You jackknife the tractor. Drug Test. You fail to properly secure the load. Drug test. Hell they'll probably random you these days.

If you are going through all that shit anyway, you might attempt to get a CDL-C, ability to drive hazmat loads, and that's when you'll get paid.

I know its shitty thats why i dont even want to do it. I just dont have a good answer yet as to why not. I mean I dont want to tell my boss "yeah um I decided not to get my CDL because I like to get high". I don't know though mabye i can just stay clean for 8 months and then the 4 that i am off smoke my brains out. Haha thats wishful thinking. O yeah bongman class A is for hazmat materials I am pretty sure but dont flame me if I am wrong.
