I've had those same ideas in my head for ages.

There's actually an equation for the possibility of life, I'm not sure what it is exactly, but it works on this principal:
There are X amount of planets to a star system, X amount of which may be able to support life, there are Y amount of star systems to a galaxy, there are Z amount of galaxys to the universe. (X*Y)Z. Assumin each system has an average of 4 planets (some stars may not have any planets, some may have several more than our solar system's), and that there are billions of stars to a galaxy, and that there are billions of galaxys to the universe, there are virtually infinite possibilities and routes to creation. Our planent fills only the tiniest microscopic point of a fraction, so tiny that we can't even begin to percieve it with our minds (unless you're on a shitload of acid maybe ). Our planet's rotational axis, relation to the sun, the position of Jupiter to sheild against stray comets/astroids bound for Earth, relation to other planets, etc, is the cause of life here, and perhaps all the factors are SO UNIQUE that we're the only intelligent life to exist. Or, more likely, several other systems have evolved along our lines (there are trillions upon trillions upon trillions) somewhere out there, and can also support life. Either way, just because WE exist doesn't mean an omniscient being must've created us... we're just a part of a unique series of events that were statistically bound to happen.

That's oversimplifying it way too much, but I don't really feel like trying to go into depth or even clarify whatever the fuck I just said.

btw, I love chaos and cosmology!

Common opinion is that there must be some 'devine creator', some omnipotent and omniscient deity that, with a click of it's fingers, created the universe and everything contained within. Probably the most popular reason for this belief is that seems that te numerical parameters that have set the universe 0n its Rating: 5
