OK, well, here's what we tell people who want a name change. Sign up with a new member name on the registration system. I suspect you'll also need a new email address to do that, too. Then start going by that new name. You don't have a heavy post count under your present member name. If someone has a lot of posts and wants to start over, of course, he loses that post count and any seniority/privileges associated with that. But if you signed up with a new member name, you'd essentially be starting over with that new identity and letting 14 posts from your previous identity fade quickly into the background. Give it some thought!

The deletion button would probably be an easy feature to add, but the owners of the site own and control the site. Members just post on it. So what goes onto the site and down on the record and into the archives becomes the property of the owners. Members need to realize that before they post. The owners wouldn't feature a delete button because it'd give members an option of deleting content from the owners' site, despite the fact that they'd written that content. It's something everyone who posts here needs to be aware of--that as soon as you hit the post button, that post becomes the content of the site and not just your own personal musings. That's the way Web forums work.
