What do you think is the greatest invention ever is?

Polymirize Reviewed by Polymirize on . What do you think is the greatest invention ever is? Mine has to be light bulbs by Thomas Edison. Simply because they aid us in every day (and night for the pedants) life. It must of been a bitch to use raw fire every time we needed to see artifically. We take them for granted. Big up Thomas Edison. Rating: 5

Any simpleton caveman can get numbers and basic arithmatic.
It was at least the 6th century before some serious mathmaticians in southern asia started working out the concept of a placeholder... One integer to rule them all. To make magic happen during multiplication and division.

Lol, me and a buddy of mine were talking about this the other day. I tried to tell him that mathematics existed before numbers (and used the same kind of example, a caveman saying "rock"... "other rock".. "rocks!"). He didn't get my point.

Back to the dark ages, for want of a better pun.
What good is electricity without anything to read, however? No point having a lightbulb so that you can sit and stare at the wall until 10pm before going to bed."
Looks live some agree's that it is a damn good invention, up there with the best of them. :smokin:

The ability to manufacture books.
Such as the Bible. Where would we be today without it.
