john muir trail this year [aug]
pct was too expensive and time consuming
one day but not today
wheres laguna coast
is that near crystal cove sp
on saturday i hit cooper canyon falls
i had like 5 adults and 7 kids hiking
the trail starts at buckhorn campground
and goes to some falls which i didnt reach
it started snowing and the wind was wicked
we had a hard time getting back
my lil girls age 9 and 3 and my son 10 stayed overnight
while the rest of the crew ranked out and went home
check out 12feetunder.com
look for jump spots
click on ventura group
and then click on gibraltar dam

Laguna Coast Wilderness Park is located in the San Joaquin Hills between the cities of Newport Beach, Irvine, Laguna Hills, and Laguna Beach. The main parking lot and entry is located adjacent to Laguna Canyon Road (Frwy. 133) about 1/4 mile south of the El Toro road intersection. A separate equestrian staging parking lot and staging area is located 1 mile further south along Laguna Canyon Road at Big Bend.
Nice trail...definitely moderate
My 11 yo is always up for a camp and hike

Things are pretty good right now...
just getting more into my groove of life if you know what I mean.
I have missed this board while I was gone. I am not afraid to admit, but dont expect me to cry though. LOL
