Lol how can they post a study like that, with the word MAY. That's not scientific proof, it's a guess. We all know they're full of shit anyway. Cannabis helps people stop using heroine not the other way around. They always try to link cannabis to other actual dangerous drugs because guess what? Cannabis isn't dangerous!

Nowhere did it say that smoking weed will cause you to move on to heroin. All it does is briefly describe the gateway drug arguments. And even then, the scientists dont show which side they are on.

The idea that smoking cannabis increases the user's chance of going on to take harder drugs such as heroin is highly contentious. Some dub cannabis a â??gatewayâ?� drug, arguing that peer pressure and exposure to drug dealers will tempt users to escalate their drug use. Others insist that smoking cannabis is unrelated to further drug use.

All it says is that, if you smoke cannabis and then go on to take heroin, you will need more than usual to get your "fix".

However, personally, i dont think that it provides "overwhelming evidence that nobody in the brainâ??s developmental stage â?? under the age of 21 â?? should use cannabis". Just that if you do plan on taking heroin later in life, you might want to steer clear of cannabis.

I just read it and it was pretty much bullshit.... weed isn't even close to the feeling of heroine, stupid people make those stupid mistakes, it'd be more in ur genes then because u smoked weed as a kid. Its great how dare and other programs try to scare kids rather than inform them. and articals like that are jsut retarted. i dont smoke weed because im addicted ( but that dosnt help ) i smoke cuz i like it. i dont want to shoot up heroin, because that can kill you. stick to the acid and shrooms, and weed, and ketamine sometimes.

if i was as stupid as a rat, been living in a glass aquarium forever, saw no value or point in life, and was hooked up to a heroin IV against my will, i would probably press the button once or twice to see what would happen. heroin is an addictive drug so yeah id end up doing it more and more

science expirements are supposed to answer questions, and an answer reguarding a rat cannot be juxtaposed to a question reguarding a human.

maybe they should try the expirement on humans?
