Its great how dare and other programs try to scare kids rather than inform them. and articals like that are jsut retarted. i dont smoke weed because im addicted ( but that dosnt help ) i smoke cuz i like it. i dont want to shoot up heroin, because that can kill you. stick to the acid and shrooms, and weed, and ketamine sometimes.

I just read it and it was pretty much bullshit.... weed isn't even close to the feeling of heroine, stupid people make those stupid mistakes, it'd be more in ur genes then because u smoked weed as a kid. Cigs are always called a gateway drug, but come on weed is not the gateway to heroine, ur just a child point blank STOP SMOKING WEED! j/k

"The researchers then examined specific brain cells in the rats, including the opioid and cannabinoid receptors. They found that the rats that had been given THC during adolescence had a significantly altered opioid system in the area associated with reward and positive emotions. This is also the area linked to addiction."
That's very interesting. They jump to a lot of false conclusions in the article though, and it's upsetting to see scientists spew shit from their mouths, knowing that it is shit, for a few bucks.
"We saw that the ones that had been on THC as teenagers stabilised their intake at a much higher level than the others"
That is a very interesting observation, though again I think they jump the gun on the hypothesis. They don't give any support to the claimed connection between developing opioid / cannaboid receptors, though, which is a shame. I'll be curious to see what happens if that turns out to be true.
