BUZz_UK: I don't think ANYBODY here is saying we should all carry guns. We all know that is a stupid argument.
What I believe LIP and a lot of people are saying is the following (what I personally believe) -- Gun ownership should be legal, and 100% controlled by the government. You should be able to go into a gun shop and apply for a firearm permit. Then after a background check and wait period, they'll sell you a legal gun. You must have the permit on you at all times if you wish to carry the gun outside your home. If you are found with the gun but no permit, it would get impounded immediately, no questions asked. In order to keep and renew your gun permit you must prove that you are taking proper precautions in your home by locking up the weapon and all ammunition.
If you make it legal and controlled to own a gun, then there will be no reason for illegal/stolen/black market weapons. Then less 17yo kids will be shooting up their crack dealers.
Make guns 100% illegal, and only criminals will have guns.

Alright, on the topic of the thread, I got a hold of one of my friends there, he's ok, but he told me one of our friends was killed. I don't even know what to say anymore.

anyone ever seen someone get stabbed with their own knife? or one person start a fight, then the other pull a knife as defense, only for the fight starter to pull his own knife? These are 2 experiences i'm using as reference points. You can't fight fire with fire...
