Which light is better for coolness?
Heya orangeman <-------(Syracuse?)
Excuse my shitty artwork - this picture is pretty bad, but tries to explain why I like the cooltube for my current space - especially when growing different strains. The tall plants can be placed on the backside of the cooltube, to extend up past the tube. This keeps the light closer to more of the plant, lower budsites get much more intense light, and if your reflector is designed right (I made mine), the plant can actually be taller than the tube. With the standard light hood, imagine how much farther up the light would have to be to be above this plant. Not to mention everything else has to be on stilts then!
If you are doing a scrog or sog, or something where you will have an even canopy, the other style of hood properly cooled, will work better than a cooltube IMHO. I don't plan on getting this light any time soon but I usually don't ask questions or get into something unless I have serious plans for it. My current grow room is way too small for something like this but one day I want to increase my wattage to help increase my yield. My first question is how many grams (or ounces, doesn't matter) do you guys think I could get with a 600 watter? Also which would be better to keep my plants closer? this one, or this?
