Demand Car Companies Shift Gears - Support Improved Fuel Efficiency
Who Killed the Electric Car trailer
YouTube - Who Killed the Electric Car trailer
When Fortune 500 companies have called for national action, and new scientific evidence of global warming's toll is presented everyday, the need for a national cap on global warming pollution has never been stronger.
In the United States cars and trucks emit 333 million tons of carbon dioxide each year - more than a fifth of our nation's global warming pollution. Yet, average fuel efficiency hasn't improved in more than 10 years.
Car companies need to do more.
Tell automobile makers to support efforts to cut America's global warming pollution by improving efficiency and supporting a mandatory, economy-wide, national cap on global warming pollution.

Its not the automobile companys that are responseble for the shitty gas mileage that american cars get,its the driver/buyers!!!
Americans DEMAND large SUV's,Trucks,Cars as their everyday transportation...Case in Point...
1.Woman,age 29,Two children, ages 9 and 12. And what does she drive as her everyday transpo...A 2004 Ford Expedition SUV...12 city/15 hiway Mpg
2.Male, age 24, Single, Everyday Transpo... 2002 Chevy 2500 4x4 One Ton Silverado Pickup...11 city/14 hiway Mpg
3. Male,age 47 Married, Everyday Transpo...2004 Chevy Corvette C6-Z01...13 city/17 hiway Mpg
Woman,age 61, Married,Grown Children,Everyday Transpo,,,1999 Cadillac Coupe Deville 4-Door,Northstar Modular V-8...Mpg 14 city/ 19 Hiway mpg
See the pattern here? The Automobile Companys are a consumer driven business, they sell what their costomers want to buy, nothing more. If we are to fix the "Gas Guzzler" problem in the U.S. then we have to change OUR driving habits and styles...Plain and Simple!
P.S. I'm a 48 Y.O. Male, Girlfriend,No Children, and what do I Drive? A 1986 Toyota Corolla...28 city/37 Hiway Mpg!!!! So I know of what I speak!!
