thanks, I realised the screen was a little higher than I thought so I put 1/2 an inch of books under them, probly pointless but I'm too fukin impatient lol. Now the measurements I gave are correct. Anyway, I got my first top coming through the screen yesterday, roughly how long do you think it might take to fill 50%? just an estimate as I have no clue whatsoever. I was planning on lollipopping but only when there is practically no light penetration below the canopy as my temps do get a little bit high sometimes (not too much) and these are very bushy plants so I want to reduce risks of mold, do you think it's a good idea or will it stunt growth? (by lollipopping you meant trimming lower leaves?)

amstron Reviewed by amstron on 04-17-2007. 600 HPS scrog log okay, this is a 1st time scrog for me so any helpful suggestions about anything I'm doing wrong will be appreciated and I won't be offended. I'm not actually using a 600 yet but I'm gunna switch to it for flowering. At the moment, I'm usin a 400 MH. I'm growing 6 clones, 3 white russian and 3 Ice. I wasn't planning on doing a scrog grow in the first place but sadly during the 1st week of 12/12 on my previous grow I had to go away for 1 week. I had somebody who I thought I could trust look after Rating: 5

14 days then i would go 12/12 but that size screen could be 50% full in the next 7 days.When trimming the leaves under the screen(lollipopping) I cut leaves i bit at a time then take the leave stem of with a stanley blade doing a differant plant each day until you are back to the first plant this gives the plants a break before being trimmed again.hope it all works out.the postman.

Looking nice amstron! il be watching this one! ur going to have to watch out for heat issues in your loft. What's ventilation set up? fresh air from out side being sucked in via the vent then removed back in to the loft to disperse? Plants looking nice and healthy 2!

postmandave- thats good to hear, not too long till flowering then. That sounds like a good plan with the lollipopping, I don't want to stunt them, but worse I don't want to stress them as a hermie could fuck up the whole thing.

Tomthehippie- thanks, I am a bit worried about heat. they're alright at the moment but as summer comes it's gunna get hot up there. I have an extraction fan (230m³hr, I don't know what that is in cfm) blowing hot air out and a tube sucking air in from outside. The hot air can disperse through vents in the roof all round the room. I also have a skylight which I can open to let in cool air to the attic. Last summer I didn't have a tube taking air in from outside so it got really hot up there and I got some hermies just before harvest (lucky). When I switch to 12/12 I'm gunna have the dark hours during the day and light at night. I'm hoping it doesn't get too hot. An attic is not a good place to grow but it's my only option, in winter it's too cold and summer too hot!

Yea good plan man! might be worth getting 1 of the many types of heat reflective material to insulate the roof from IR if the lights going to be on at night!

Attics.Im in the same situatoin amstron it is was brain damage sometimes lol i hated summer grows now the temps are mad so i ended up getting a ac unit to combat the problem and it worked, so attic problems can be over come.the postman.

I wish that was my only problem. I seem to have the shittest luck. I was walking to a friends house with a 1/2 ounce (stupid idea to have it on the street). The police decided to stop search me being the usual pricks London police are, and they found the weed. I arrested on suspicion of supplying and was taken to the police station and held in custody for 15 hours. Meanwhile the police got a warrant to search my house and ...guess what they found, a foot tall outdoor plant and this grow. They confiscated everything along with some brand new lowrider 2 seeds I just bought and worst of all was that I had scales and a whole load of baggies. I was interviewed and released on bail. I now have to go back to the station in a few weeks and probably go to court. You can imagine how I'm feeling right now. This is a message aswell, be careful carrying shit round as it can lead to a lot of problems. I think I'm going to take a break from growing for a while, especially till I find out whats happening to me. O man an I was gonna post pics today, aaaarrrgghh

Sorry to hear that man that was shitty luck mate.Amstron keep us tuned on what goes down mate ,they will come back at you with charges of cultavatoin for profit and possesion with intent to supply, the baggies and scales can be explaned mate:jointsmile: .you grow your own shit for your own use you dont give no one any not even for nothing you have the scales and baggies because you ratoin urself to a quarter oz a week and you weigh out quarters and bag them up and make it last you as long as you can .You grow your own because you have a insomnia problem and cannabis is the only organic drug that works and you dont want to buy the poison on the streets laced with silicon beads or fund organised crime with doing so what else can you do, actually you are all violating my human rights by preventing me from making my life easier:rastasmoke: or sommit along those lines . anyway hope all goes well :thumbsup: be safe the postman.
