    600 HPS scrog log

okay, this is a 1st time scrog for me so any helpful suggestions about anything I'm doing wrong will be appreciated and I won't be offended. I'm not actually using a 600 yet but I'm gunna switch to it for flowering. At the moment, I'm usin a 400 MH. I'm growing 6 clones, 3 white russian and 3 Ice. I wasn't planning on doing a scrog grow in the first place but sadly during the 1st week of 12/12 on my previous grow I had to go away for 1 week. I had somebody who I thought I could trust look after them and found out I couldn't. He didn't seem to understand the concept of giving plants water and moving the light, so they were dry for 1 week. I came back to badly wilted plants with nice fried top nodes. so I reluctently cloned them and started again. This grow I'm definately not going away! Anyway...I'm using canna nutes, specialised potting soil, 2 inch chicken wire on a 3' x 3' screen, the screen is slightly lower in the middle than at the sides (sides-14" middle-12.5") and is held down, Mylar walls, I've got a duct fan blowing air out and cool air is sucked in from outside. I've topped all of them and LST'd one of them, I'm planning on switching to flowering when 75% of the screen is filled. Any suggestions of changes to this plan or help in any way would be really appreciated. here are some pictures...by the way the small plant being held up is going outdoors this year, it's ice.

hi amstron.I love scrogs i done one with wr and this strain loves the scrog but i found that she fills the screen fast .I found filling the screen 50% in veg was sufficient to have a screen full of buds and with multi strain scrogs this is best as you have different strains growing at differant rates its very differant from a single strain scrog.i also found it was better to have the main colas along the outside edge and the rest heading into the middle of the scrog it helps with light coverage.I will be following this with great intrest as i love watching the screen getting filled.best of luck mate and nice set up.be safe the postman.

now that's one impressive looking scrog you grew there postman, what did that yield? what light did you use? thanks for the advice, I'll fill 50% and then switch to 12/12. Just to check I've got the idea right cos I really dont wanna fuk this up, once the colas pop through the screen I weave the larger ones in and out of each hole around the outside edge. I keep doing this with every node that comes through in a uniform pattern but train the smaller branches towards the centre, until 50% is filled then switch to 12/12 and continue training for about two weeks? just wanna check I haven't made any stupid mistakes in my plan.

o an just one more thing, seeing as the plants are branching a lot, do you think I should raise the plants closer to the screen

amstron i would leave the plants were they are as 6 plants in that size scrog will fill it in no time. When the colas pop through the screen let them grow the size of the square in the scree(2 inches in your case then tuck them through the next desired square until you have all the squres full which is aroung the second week 12/12 when the stretch slows down so at this point(2 weeks 12/12 _ the screen should be filled but all the colas at the same level so all the buds are growing through the screen at the same time then you will have a level screen of buds. Its so hands on and really enjoyable you will really enjoy this amstron.the wr scrog was 3 plants and the yeil was 7 oz dry but they were only veged 4 weeks.i have a other pic of my multi scrog grow i will look then out and show you what i mean about multi scrog grows .I had wr and aurora indica and nebula 3 of each in that scog but luckly i had the 3 strains in lines of 3 soo the bud canopy was even for each strain but the nebula and aurora indica buds were longer than the wr buds but still that was 9 plants and yeilded 22 oz.I will try dig out some pics. just keep doing what yer doing mate and it will work out fine and you will develope your own method of scrog that suits you but i say again its a very enjoyable method of growing.be safe the postman.

this scrog was 7 ft by 5ft with 9 plants maybe this will give you an idea of how fast they fill a screen. This 9 plant was under 1600 watt hps but the wr scrog was 600 hps and it was 4ft by 2.1/2 feet.will you be lollipopping them for this scrog.the postman.

ps sorry pics are so small they were stored online and dont know how to resize them lol
