titus groan, gormenghast, and titus alone - all by m. peake (the first two contain great imagery, the last gets a bit tedious but is still worth reading)

the amber series - by zelazny (the later ones are a bit strained, different writer, but as fantasy worlds go there are few better)

the haunting of hill house - by s. jackson (one of the simplest and greatest ghost stories every written)

Slaughterhouse 5 by Kurt Vonnegut is a good one and Revolution for the hell of it by Abbey Hoffman was fuckin' great.
If you want to learn, try reading some of the histories of ninjitsu by Dr. Haha Lung. It's crazy shit.

also, Chuck Palahniuk is a great Author i like alot of his stuff, of course Fight Club and also one called "choke"
