Long veg = short flower time?

    Backround,
My first grow is now 4 weeks into 12/12. I am working in soil under 1000HPS. I veged longer then ussual (About 6 weeks) under CFL and there were white pistals on all 3 of my plants when I went 12/12.

    My Question,
On one plant about half the pistals have turned orange/amber. When I look under the pocket microscope only the resin on the pistals have changed color: Those on the leaves are still clear. Nirvana tells me that the flower time is 7/8 weeks but these look ready at only 4 weeks. Is this normal or did I speed things up by vegging so long? The other two plants are about 20% amber.

the first ones to come out at the base of the stem will turn quick but the plant is not done at 4 weeks and vegging longer does not speed up flowering time let those plants go they will fatten up in the next few weeks. oh and make sure theres no herm's in there as that will cause the hairs to turn quicker.

Long veg = short flower time?

    Sky,
This is my first grow and I have done everything wrong....I raised the light yesterday as the temps were nearing 98 at the top of the tallest cola but the flowers in the back, away from the heat, are also turning.

    Puddle,
I pulled two hermis (Different strain) last week and I have been keeping an eye out for any fertilized females but i don't see any yet. Could this still be an issue?

    Thanks for the help.

well those herm plants do explain why the hairs are turning.

and high temps like that will cause the plant to look like its done way ahead of time. dont cut her down yet they still will grow some more a little bit of love will make a big dif.

if you dont have an exhaust fan get one even a cheap bathroom one from homedepot.

I think raising the light did the trick. Thanks Sky. If I knew how I'd give you a green dot!
