what do you think of this for a veg cab
used; she'll let me have it for $20. it's a bit squat, and unfortunately not quite 4ft long, so 4ft t5HO's are out. anyway, i've decided that i'm going to transition from closet so cabinet so that i can make things as low profile as possible. first step is a PASSIVE veg cab. yes, i want, if possible, to make a veg cab without fans. most likely to start i'll have 156w/10000lumens of cfl's. the idea is to support a squat mother, and two small clones
if i need to put an exhaust fan, i can, but i want to try to see if i can make it completely silent, for safety and because i'll be sleeping in that room.
locking it will also be an issue but i have a few ideas

what do you think of this for a veg cab
i don't want two identical cabs, and i don't want them to be standard home-depot utiltity cabs. i want them to look natural in a bedroom, with tons of books stacked on top
it's unusual to go from closet to cab, but i think it's for the best when it comes to safety; the closet cannot be locked without a lot of drilling, and looking very conspicuous.
note that no one ever really goes into my bedroom, but it's possible. the "what if's" define my life
i definitely think SOG and/or SCROG are in my future as well
i'll also need to be doing all the wiring internally, but i think with a little ingenuity that should work
i'm wondering what sort of fixtures i could use to put single bulbs inside? i want single-bulb fixtures, not those three-in-a-row ones, that's too close together. i'm not an electrician, but i solder, and i have a drill, so i should do allright. the idea is to have it ready in a month so that i can put my mother in there, when my other plants are ready to flower, thus no need to partition my closet, which was going to be a major pain

in july i am retaking my nemesis course: gen chem 2; and if i play my cards right, i could have bud by the end of that month, which would be a sick reward

what do you think of this for a veg cab
it's a very nice and inconspicuous size; my flower cab will be a lot taller
right now i'm using my closet and the space is good, but it's impossible to lock it (bedroom door IS locked) and i have to keep the closet cracked for airflow. anyway, at first i was going to divide the closet in half, but i like this a lot better
i'm thinking 9x26watt cfl's, most on the 5000k-6500k range, i might possibly use part of it for storage as well, but we'll see. rigging the electrical will be the tough part but it will be fun!
