ok, lots of us use no pest strips, and loads of us were under the impression that contact with the stuff wasn't all that bad....
i just spent the last finve hours nursing my lizard; i got one strip for my room, last night, i found my gecko on the floor of the cage, clutching his chest. he's ok now, he came back, but it was close.
please keepthis in mind and tell others. thanx!

Yep Scarlet ,
Back in the day we kept snakes and used them but had to keep them in woodgrain thing you'd hang up w/ the holes in it so no direct contact w/ the reptiles . We used them for mites when we'd get new snakes .
Had a 11 ft male albino patternless morph.burmese python .
10 ft. female green std. burmese
6 ft. female columbian redtaild boa
6 ft. male reticulated python
Peace Sis .

wh, no, i'm not talking about the tape kind. these are a plastic box with a pad inside that emits a smell or something that kills the insects.
crispi, i too have used these in snake cages (your collection surprises me!) when i kept rt boas and burms, but the weirdest thing is that i did not put the strip IN the cage, which i HAVE done with the snakes. the strip was about eight feet away, and was put in to kill the spiders in my bedroom.
thank god i woke up last night; buck would have been dead for sure. he's super p'd right now, and stressed to the max; i hope he recovers from the shock, as stress is a big time killer for any reptile.
wh, please tell everyone you know. i almost lost my baby, and i'm thinking about what effect it may have on small dogs, cats, and even children.
scary...

Well extremely scary! Is this the first time you have put the things in the room? 8 feet away sounds like plenty to me but obviously not. Can you tell me the name of them? I want to look them up on Google.

hot shot no pest strip. here's the package.
reb, i'm seriously considering taking these back and not using the product anymore. we have small dogs, i don't want to lose any more animals; not this year.
btw, you seem familiar; do i know you?

Shit Scarlet I just read under a review by someone that whatever the F** is in those pests strips in large enough doses it can be toxic to HUMANS. Im having trouble finding out precisely what the active ingrediant is however, so that I can look it up exactly. Get rid of that shit!!
