Newbie Seeking Info

Hi guys iv been browsing the forums for as much info as i can as im thinking about giving this growing malarky a go, what id like to know is which is the best method for a newbie like me hydroponics or soil ?

basicaly id like to grow 1 or maybe 2 plants just to get the jist of it ( trial n error)

Do any of u guys know of any good starter kits i can pick up in the UK

All info would be much appreciated

i would definatley go with soil it is alot simpler, i think, umm yeah anything else?

Well MARA,

You can pick up most of what you need on Ebay or your local hydro store. Grow three of them then you'll get at least one female. If you fuckup the pH in hydro your grow will be dead within 48 hours. Soil you'll get a week to correct the problem. Get the picture? Your going to have to learn some things the hard way. But what do I know?

also, here's a link to a dwc setup, i believe you will have best results with this system. check ph daily, you should have no probs and excellent yeilds...

Soil will be alot easier. Plants in pots are easier to move around, and is much more forgiving that hydro would be. Soil growing will also be alot cheaper, especially if you're only doing 2 plants. Soil growing will allow you to concentrate on learning how to grow plants, rather than worrying about hydro-specific issues. And if you do a soil grow you won't have to worry about stuff like PPM/EC measurement or pH. Keep it simple.
