Tell him to join the Air Force,no real work and his chances of dieing in Iraq are minimul compared to being the ARMY. A friend of mine and i got into a service bashing arguement,im prior ARMY,he is AF. When the death tolls were looked up it was something like 35 AF personal dead as opposed to 1800 army personal. Not the best way to look at the situation but atleast there is some kind of feeling of saftey. When i was in,i was working 15+ hour days most of my 4 years,while AF were shift workers. Little PT if any,air conditioning and TV in the desert were big parts of the arguement. Tell him to go AF,still cant smoke weed,though i have known a few who burn w/me occasionally since i have been out. If i had it to do again,i would have went AF,i would probably still be in. Its the candy land of the services no real labor,no real PT,its a cake walk,hell the coast guard does more work.

Then on top of it he tries to recruit me telling me i can either do manuel labor for the rest of my life (I am a grader for an asphalt company) or I can make something of my life and join the army with him. First off he is my best friend who has been there with me through thick and thin and I would do anything for him.
