That's so sad . My grandmother who died in 2001 had her first child when she was 13. I'm pretty sure it wasn't through a consensual relationship. Her parents raised the baby (a girl). She ended up having 7 more kids later in life with my grandfather. I know that it hurts my aunt (the first baby) that she didn't get to be raised by her mother, but her other brothers and sisters did. Makes me feel bad for her. Then again she told my mother back when my parents were dating that they (meaning my dad's side of the family) weren't interested in "whitening up the family".... (my mom's white and my dad's black)

btw i have one younger brother but fraternal twins run in my family. hopefully they don't run in my future "baby-daddy's" family..
