Not black, not white. But I understand that he said this the day after the womens rutgers team lost the tourney. I had seen them play games before (the mens bb was so boring) that final game against Tenn and I was very impressed by their team.

If they hadn't lost to TENN, Imus would never have said anything. But instead, he kicked them while they were down and that is not cool.

Imus is just big fuckin poser. If I saw him on the street I would personally whip his ass and strip him of that buckle and hat.

Imus couldn't handle a chest pass from any one of those girls from the Rutgers team. Imus will die soon and we will get rid of one more old mule on the radio.

I'm Black, and i feel its time to clean the media of shit that is degrading to all groups of people (women, blacks, whites, jews, everybody), be it Imus saying "Nappy headed hos" or nelly swiping his credit card on the crack of a girls ass (tip drill video).
millions of people watch theses tv stations and when they condone these racist or degrading behavior it send s a message that that kind of behavior is acceptable.

Don Imus was used to get the message across that if you bold enough to say shit about a group of people on national tv, then you better be ready to face the consequences

to all the ones saying that imus is an idiot and he should be fired and you would whip his ass. i ask why? it doesnt piss me off that he said that, but i am sure it did piss some off. but it is Don Imus, come on. hes known for controversial comments. the last time i checked, there was a little thing called free speech. unless he used a slang term or cursed them, then i would understand. but not for the remarks he made. what made me even more sick is when the rutgers held the conference and the one white girl was speaking. "mr imus doesnt know that ____ is so funny, and he doesnt know that ____ will be a great lawyer one day, and he doesnt know that _____ makes us all feel good when we lose" shut the fuck up girl. defending your whole team because some crotchety old man said the were nappy headed ho's. come on people, put your time in something wortha shit.

I think Imus should have kept his mouth shut, mainly because all the media attention and bullshit the incident started (mind you, that's for my sake and not his).
The newest headline is " Imus vs. Rap".
The media needs to stop painting stories over just to have something to put on TV.

okay. a little message to everyone about this. the people that thought he was a racist/biggot are happy now cause he got fired. get your head out of your asses people. he didn't get fired because he made that comment. hell, the only thing that screwed him was his show took a hit. i mean big advertisers pulled out, and huge political guest cancled their interviews. he wasn't fired for what he siad. he got fired for costing his company money. sorry to say it but nobody accomplished anything. except maybe imus, who is now a household name and will no doubt be picked up by satalite. if the people pulling out the race card think that he got fired because the company gives a shit about those girls your all higher than i thought

First off, we have this thing in the U.S. called the first amendment - Freedom of speech. He was acting under that right. With that said, I believe the media blew it out of proportion, but he should have been more intelligent than to say it on a national radio broadcast.

In the same statement, he stated he thought the Tenn. women's basketball team (predominately black) was cute which kind of contradicts the racism in that statement.

I agree though. He lost his job, because he lost sponsors.
