What is rep and what does it have to do with anything?

Actually, there is sort of a seniority policy. The longer you've been a member, the more rep you're able to give. Also the more rep you have, the more you're able to give. I, for instance, have a fairly powerful "rep hand". So does Skink, and most definitely Slip.

Could a mod toss this to feedback?

My rep hand pwns your rep hand, though. Big post count and way old join dates for the win. Mwahaha.
