    And All Things New....

Here is the semi update! The new compost soil was a 'little' acidic (ie 6.0 or so). So I added about 1/2 tbs. lime per gallon of soil mixture, perhaps a little less. When I peeked at thier skivies, roots had miniscule growth. I had one that I would label 'good root growth'. This one also showed the lease ph probs and droopiness. That one is in the bin labeled Cee-cee. The others had some growth but not anything to write home about....tall and lanky of course coming in last place, with little to no root growth. The two that are younger- dark green cont. and medium blue hue small container -are doing well so far. I did NOT repot the dark green with Organic miracle-gro (I think that is the one that is the most sativa like, go figure that I like indicas!)[attachment=o131407]. I did repot the medium blue smallest bin, that one had not been repotted as of yet and showed twisted leaves but no other known def. That one thankfully looks very indica like.

    Now, I'll sit and wait...

Edit: I did not find rhizome mixture, but references to it...have to search more later.

    And All Things New....

Thanks for your help Stinky, things are going much better. I'm 99.99999999999 certain my biggest and bushiest is a male, bummer. Tall and lanky doen't look like it going to make, but I am not surprised. I know that they have some defs, and still are exhibiting some ph probs, but I'm waiting in the mail for all the answers to my problems (digital ph tester, PROFESSIONAL up/down, calmag).
    Enjoy the photo.

Hey, Bree. I'm watching! Nice pics...glad you're getting your new spiffy equipment, too. Sounds cool. What is PROFESSIONAL up/down? Do you mean that because it won't be baking soda and vinegar? LOL

Also, why are your plants all off to the side in the pots like that? Is that because you will be LSTing them the other way? Thanks.

Check out my updates! Immagettin so close to harvest!

You absolutely have my permission to laugh..i said professional because they aren't home remedies....finally! ( I *may* have been under the influence and added the wrong remedy to my water and that's what fooked me in the first place, in addition to shite growing medium...we may never know)

Also yes, that is what I plan to do (why I planted them so far over), I did it last time I and liked it!

I stopped by your thread, thanks for taking a gander at mine, Fog!

I also added this over the weekend [attachment=o132304]

[attachment=o132305], but it isn't working the way that I'd like. My temps got to 87 near the plant tops when the door was closed...this was with the new intake, although it is small...I don't want to build a bigger one so I'm in a pickle. Damn drill bit was 26.00 and I only used it once. It was about 76 in the house, so not that hot. I really wanted my temps to be lower, since I don't run A/C unless the temps reach over 82....I like it hotter than the plants, lol. I may just have to live with it not being completely optimal. blech.

hahaha that's the exact fan I love!
$5 at walmart and moves SERIOUS air.
I own like 6 of them.
Well if you are concerned that you only used your expensive drill bit once, why don't you drill yourself an active intake too?
The reason I mentioned cider vinegar as a better emergency pH down than lemon is that there's some aspect of cider vinegar that is beneficial to soil microorganisms. But I haven't the foggiest idea what it is.lol.

I own like 6 of them. I'm planning on buying at least two more!!Well if you are concerned that you only used your expensive drill bit once, why don't you drill yourself an active intake too? Oh, that is my active intake...Did I label it wrong?..I'm hoping that my exhaust is good with the vortex in there....do you think I should add another acitve one? Will it help????lol....dont want my wall to look like swiss cheese ! The reason I mentioned cider vinegar as a better emergency pH down than lemon is that there's some aspect of cider vinegar that is beneficial to soil microorganisms. But I haven't the foggiest idea what it is.lol. I didn't use the cider vinegar, I've only tried the lemon juice. I don't believe it stayed 'stable'. I had planned on buying your suggestion as a back up for when I run out. Plus, I'm sure I'll figure out something I can cook with it. I hold high reguard to your advice.

    :jointsmile:Bree

edit: maybe my exhaust is not working as efficiently as I'd like.? I've taped the seems....I'm scratching my head. It's 81 at plant tops but the freaking door is open...84 with the curtain closed and door open....87 with everything looking stealth. Temp in my house is 72.

    And All Things New....

(in singsong voice) "there were six in the bed, and the little one said, ROLL OVER, ROLL OVER! So they all rolled over and one fell out....Then there were five in the bed and little one said, ROLL OVER, ROLL OVER! So they all rolled over and one fell out.....

So, you guessed it, I've found two males. My biggest and healthiest of course, and tall and lanky. I can't tell you how great it felt to kill that fucker! He was just starting to look a little healthier too, lol. I'm 99.9 percent sure I've found a female. I'll know by later today or tomorrow hopefully. My sight isn't that great, but I think I see some hair! Will my females turn hermie? Probably! Here are the ones left:[attachment=o132875]

Here is a photo of one that has a severe mg def and n def. [attachment=o132876] It was treated today.
Notice the praying leaves and incredibly light color?

Here is a photo of an iron (fe) def and mg def. [attachment=o132874] Two plants were treated two days ago. Notice the edges of the leaves turning lime green? See the twisting and slight praying? They are showing great progress already.

I lst'd today, with natural fibers from my hempin days. [attachment=o132877]I'm hoping the plants will be happy that they aren't being made into jewelry!!! ha ha. I'll be tightening them as I go along.

Finally here are my starts.[attachment=o132878]. Some of them are doing great, but many are not. I think it is the soil. Same crap that messed up my other plants. I've repotted the festuca glauca, which I have a pic of, but no room. It's supposed to be sheeps fescue, but just looks like common grass to me, ha ha....

It's been cooler here so I haven't addressed my heat issues. Plan to this weekend. I've been pulling my air from my furnace room (um duh stoner!) so I plan to pull it from another room and move my ballast into the heater room. That *should* solve that, fingers crossed.

I did get my ph meter. Don't buy the model I did. Hanna two point calibration education model. The trimmers move too easily and f up....I have to basically calibrate it every freaking five minutes. If I'm missing something on how to get them to lock in, let me know.

Now, I purposely did NOT smoke yet just so I could give you this update hopefully in it's entirety....As everyone that knows me I'm a serial editor (meaning instead of killing things, I like to edit them! ha ha)...So I hope that everything is correct and I didn't leave anthing out. I'm going to go spark, and then think of all the things I could have included but didn't because I forgot!

    Happy Tokin and Growin,

Festuca glauca= blue fescue, yes it is technically a type of grass. And a very pretty one at that.
I love the veg starts and your plants look SO much happier!!! Better than you give them credit for actually. I have never thought of praying leaves as something to be especially concerned with. But the pale one just looks as if it is still recovering from before and perhaps could use further flushing. And then some veg fert of course!

I got the praying leaves from OG's plant sickness guide...I can't find the link because I lost it when my last pc went to the crapper. You are absolutely right about that one needing a flush....the water came out yellow, but since it just got over being ill (and all my water is outside in the freaking cold) I'm going to wait to flush on the next watering. It did get ph'd veg nutes (1/4 strength of mg AP, not the best one!) and calmag....The leaves have already relaxed a tad so I hope it does well!

Thanks again to Stinky for helping me with the soil issues!

I don't have much to report, but I wanted to share a pic of the plant that was all light colored and severly praying....(which does in fact seem normal for that plant, foxy). She looks like she took steroids over the past week and has been working out! Obviously has sativa in her (blech) so let's all laugh our asses off as Bree tries to subdue this unruly bitch!
[attachment=o133637] Do you guys think I should top or FIM her???? Let me know.
Here is a shot of the gang....[attachment=o133638]I think maybe the only unsexed plant is a male, bummer (one in the smallest bin). He is displaying ph probs so i flushed him with what water I had left yesterday.
