What If....MJ=Legal but Alcohol=Not

LOL, I love doing that too with 10-20 people. But, the majority of people would probably not like that so much. Just based on posts on this cannabis site, I can see most people at least on here like to get high alone, it's pretty evident.

And come on, I'm just saying alcohol is far more social than trees, and calls for a better time in most social situations.

I don't use alcohol but that's how I think it should be anyways. Laws are backwards if you ask me.

Wow, heckuva mixed bag there. I tend as a rule to see alcohol as something that releases inhibitions.....not always a good thing (like the stranger you've got your arm around and singing with may be Ted Bundy....)
but not always a bad thing either. It defenitely depends on the person drinking it.....Skink gave an excellent example of out of control drinking. (and I like that he talked about addiction as a sperate thing as well :thumbsup

My first thought in posting this question was drinking and driving vs toking and driving but interestingly no one else brought that up so I'll simply say that I do agree with BD that alcohol seems to get people in a lot more trouble than weed does (present laws aside...just generally). Anyone else feel this way or am I full of BS (or both.....)

I will smoke and drive only because smoking raises my awareness...

I found that when I drank I would smoke 5 times more pot,,,I don't know why,,,I just did... I never got the benefit of the smoke as alcohol is effective at canceling it for me...

When I was younger I smoked for buzz factor,,,today I smoke to enhance my sense of taste and smell,,,I pretty much lost that in a accident... Pot also gives me a boost in drive and ambition... Marijuana is a wonderful drug...

I know this is not where you wanted this thread to go,,,but this is how I relate to the topic today...

Quite frankly Skink I find things to be pretty much the same way. Smoking makes my life better (imo) drinking makes it worse. I know this is not true for the majority of people but it certainly is for me.

Since becoming involved in this website I am amazed not only at how many people use mj for medical purposes....but also how much and how many people it has helped. I don't think the same can be said of alcohol in any setting.

As for the legality of each.....opinions?
