i'd rather have pot legal than booze, but i love my single malt scotches to death

personally, i don't believe that any substance that is not used to harm SOMEONE ELSE should be illegal. yes, that means i don't believe heroin, coccaine, meth, or any drug should be illegal. i don't believe it's the government's job to regulate what we do with our own bodies. now, at this juncture in world history i'm only campaigning for marijuana. why? well, first because it is the only narcotic that i would use myself, but more importantly: because it is by FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR the safest and most acceptable illegal drug. pot being illegal is really laughable, and we need a wake-up call if we actually think that it's REASONABLE for it to be outlawed. that's beyond propostourous

we cannot as a people just accept the actions of our governement as "that's the way things are". that's cowardly bullshit. things are the way they are because we let them become that way. all that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing. i'm going to get partisan now so i'll hope you'll forgive me (i don't hate republicans! ), but the current administration, and ones like it have totally turned away from their supposed calling as "LIMITED GOVERNMENT". they've exacted unbelievable breaches of our civil rights and privacies, of which the patriot act is the most obvious; our government has too much power, and it is leading us down a path to being in the crosshairs of more than half the world who hate us more each day. "well, of course the world hates the USA" is bullshit accept-ivism. you have power, don't let anyone tell you otherwise

on the flipside, i believe we are far too linient on those who INTENTIONALLY harm others. pedophiles, murderers, armed robbers; if you do harm to someone else, i'm believe in extreme punishment.
