Get an almost 3-d effect and its almost like a true immersion experience. Anyone else do this? It must be a popular idea cuz back in the day of Desert Combat used to run into lots of people online doing this. Have not played for several months now since I no longer have any windows computers (100% Linux now). But think I'm going to have to get a windows machine going again cuz I miss BF2. Dboy Rating: 5

No i haven't, but it looks like more of the same. Special Forces is sweet because the maps it offers put A LOT of emphasis on sneaking around and stealthiness...

usually tha'ts my mode in fps's but i love being a MG-er (support) nothing better then being able to take out a whole squad by yourself... (my recipe for doing so is as follows... first gotta get ahead of where they're headed, so they run to you.... drop to the ground and start moving back and fourth... take out the medics, then anyone with an automatic (i.e. everyone but the snipers) of course, snipers pose the least threat when you run face to face with them, then a spec ops or assault kit would be... so they naturally fall to the bottom of the priority list...

Oh yeah, and there's tear gas, grappling hooks and flash bangs.. its sweeeeeeeet...

flash bangs are in BF2 as well... they're just only available through unlock (3rd gen assault)

how's the tear gas work? slow tick away at your health like in MOH:AA:BT?

It blurs your vision really badly and you cough, so if you're hiding, it gives away your position..

i wish they had that shit in BF2 lol... can't tell you how many times i've known the general location of a base camper but just couldn't find him lol...
