i aslo hear that some hair tied to each plant and changed every week or two will keep wildlife away...

the other idea is to stick sticks into the ground around the garden and than tie fishing line through all the sticks so you make like an invisable fence, its invisable but if the deer walks into it it wont like it and will go the other way...

    ummm... yeah

Peeing around the area does not repel deer. I recently read a review of an extensive study performed by a major university. I think if I remember right it was the University of Northern MI up in the UP of MI? Can't remeber for sure but I am sure you can find it out there by doing a search.

In any case, the conclusion after testing, pee, hair and numerous other expensive repellent type products, was that the "old wifes tale" of using peices of soap was still the most effective. The recomended best brands were Dial deoderant soap and Irish spring. I have never had major deer problems, but I have also always used the soap as a precaution and perhaps that's why I have not had problems. There are lots of deer around my area too. I just saw a half dozen walk right through my front yard just a few days ago. I just cut full size bars into thirds and lay them around and sometimes hang a couple from tall plants with string by drilling small holes in them.
