scotts earthgro...ever try it
it's probably heavy peat moss. adding a bunch of perlite would probably do
actually, i just got back from home depot and i'll be damned if they have almost NOTHING but miraclegrow. but i also saw this one you mention; a big was ripped and some was spilling out. anyway, it's HEAVY compost and peat-moss. which means lots of water retention. i believe it has some perlite too, but not enough. i think i might be getting some myself, it's nearly a soilless mix. but will probably use 40% perlite to get good drainage
because i couldn't find anything appealing, i just ended up with a small bag of miraclegrow organic. figure i'll start seeds in styrofoam cups filled 2/3 with this (with perlite), and 1/3 with some soilless mix (and perlite), and then when i transplant just go into a soilless mix. anyway...................it's all experimentation for me at this point
