Latest I could start an outdoor growth?

Does anyone know what's the latest I could start an outdoor growth and still get a decent harvest (the seeds won't cost me much)?
I live in southern california, so it gets pretty bright and hot.

I live in So Cal and last year I planted some NL X Blueberry at the beginning of June and harvested in Oct with no problems.

The latest I suggest planting and still being able to keep it worthwhile is the end of June, and that's only as a last resort. I've planted into mid-July and they just don't have enough time to build up enough strength and bud sites to make for a decent harvest and it'd be a waste of those good seeds to start that late, unless you plan on taking clones and continuing the grow inside in the fall. You could also increase the yield of smaller plants by cloning all of the bottom branches and rooting for 2 weeks then put them back outside to finish. You can usually plan on about 10 grams/plant by flowering as soon as roots have set giving the usually pretty much worthless bottom branches a chance to become tops.

BTW, the Master Kush I've recently grown took up the whole 60 days and then some for flowering...they finished by Halloween which is closer to 65 days total.
