not much else you can do when vegetatively propagating softwood cuttings except keep the humidity up and mist every so often, and hope for the best....I don't even think cannabis needs IBA powders (rooting hormone) to take a good root hold....so any problems you encounter are environmental problems most likely, unless your using soil that has already been used in another grow, then you can get fungal and bacterial pathogens...

Since the ambient temps have risen here I've noticed some burning on the tops of my freshly cut clones along with wilting longer than usual too. I found leaving the dome askew helps and I also raised the flouro's a few inches and they're now doing much better. I've also added more misting times into the day/night too which also seems to have helped them recover. I'm now on day 5 since cutting this batch and tried a little different method on half of them this time...instead of putting the Rapid Grow pellets into the specially designed tray I put them into Dixie cups with enough soil to cover the pellets to keep them from moving around and they're doing a whole lot better than the pellets put into the cloning tray! I believe it's the added heat at the root level that's causing the prob in the trays but will know more with the next batch being taken next week or as soon as this batch clears the clone barn. I'll try to get pics of them both up soon.

Do you have a humidity dome or anything to keep that humidity up also What type of lighting do you use and what are the temps in your clone area.
I have had success with cloning with no special powders or spray's. My method is I take a 4+ node clone , cut the stem at an angle , than place the stem of the clone in a glass of water for 2 days (seems to help this wilt shock lol), then place it in a "wick cloner" a simple homedade cloner with a 5 gallon aqaurium as a humidity dome. I mist the leaves on the clones once a day. Clones take root in about 10 days or so.
Glad that some of your clones are surving.
