Question: pH & coco coir
Coco is pH neutral (GH states on website), and I have treated as such. I keep my mothers in Coco and water with pH 6.5 water, has worked perfectly for close to a year. You will love Coco, its da bomb................When you hydrate your new Coco make sure you rinse very well. Most state they are already rinsed, but I like to give a thorough one myself just to make sure all the salts and whatever are out of it.
Now that you are entering the Coco world, I will bet you that will will never even consider dirt farmin again...........trust me.......
You might wanna "goggle" Coco Coir and have a browse around some other sites that have guys growin in Coco. Thats what I did a while back. You'll find all kinds of tips/tricks, do's-dont's.....etc But, all in all, its pretty foolproof stuff.
Perfect medium for a drip setup (in my opinion), or you can handwater and achieve excellent results as well. Is a member here Blue Bear I think is name, check his posts and look for his Coco log.
